1 min read

Washington Symphony Orchestra’s chamber ensemble will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Washington.

Chamber conductor William Galvin, retired music department chairman and band director at Trinity High School, performs with the WSO in the percussion section as well as conducting the annual chamber concert and coordinating the Young Artist Competition.

Brian Fulton, WSO principal french horn, will be the featured soloist Sunday. He will play Mozart’s “Concerto for Horn No. 3, K. 447.” Five movements from Prokofiev’s “Cinderella Suite” will be performed by WSO principal viola Andrew Adams, with Bill Van Patten on harp. Wind ensemble performers will take the lead in Percy Grainger’s “Lincolnshire Posy,” and other musicians will be featured in some of their favorite classical pieces.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or online. For more information, visit www.washsym.org or call 724-223-9796.
