Walko – 100 years
John Walko of Canonsburg will celebrate his 100th birthday with an open house for family.
He was born May 2, 1914, in Wall.
On May 11, 1938, he married his wife, Susan, who died November 14, 1969.
He has four children, Geri Barbosky and John Walko Jr. of Canonsburg and Darlene Mann and Roberta Orton of Wilmington, N.C.
His grandchildren are Lisa Barbosky, John Walko, Christine Kush, Michael Walko, Jessica, David and Nathan Mann, Jason Hiles and Eric Orton. He has six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Walko worked in construction, for Continental Can Co. and retired from PennDOT. He enjoys traveling with family, reading and Westerns.
