Comcast employees, their families, friends and community partners recently volunteered to improve Waynesburg as part of Comcast’s 13th Comcast Cares Day.

Volunteers worked with the Salvation Army, planting, landscaping and building shelves at the Waynesburg facility.

Comcast Cares Day, which is held each April during National Volunteer Month, is Comcast and NBCUniversal’s signature day of service and the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer effort. The company expected more than 80,000 Comcast and NBCUniversal volunteers to participate in more than 700 projects across the country and around the globe.

Since 2001, more than 500,000 volunteers have contributed more than three million volunteer hours on Comcast Cares Day.
