Charleroi parks to host kids’ events
Charleroi Borough is planning a variety of summer activities for children 7 to 14 years old.
The following parks will offer activities June 10 through Aug. 14:
• Crest Avenue Park – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays;
• Trustees Park – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays;
• Woodland Park – 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays.
Free lunches will be provided at Crest Avenue and Trustees parks.
Acitivites will include crafts, coloring contests, nature walks, water balloons, slip and slides, obstacle course and scavenger hunt. If it rains, Tuesday and Wednesday events will be held at the Market House. No rain dates are planned for the Thursday events.
The borough also will host movie nights June 11 and 25, July 9 and 23 and Aug. 13 and 27 at the Market House. Movie titles are available on the borough’s website, www.charleroiboro.org. Movie nights include activities before the movie, plus free popcorn and beverages.
