Liggett – Vanooteghem
John and Carmen Liggett of Avella announce the engagement of their son, Luke, to Tara Grace Vanooteghem, daughter of Dr. Rik and Kathy Vanooteghem of San Jose, Calif.
Luke’s grandparents are Sonny and Loretta Argento of Charleston W.Va., Dorothy Liggett of Avella and the late Robert Liggett.
Tara’s grandparents are Rafael Vanooteghem and Simonne Vanooteghem-Neyrinch of Ingelmunster, Belgium, and Tom Lash and Judy Knight of San Jose, Calif.
The future groom is a graduate of Avella Junior-Senior High School and is serving in the U.S. Navy.
His fiancee is a graduate of Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose and is a senior at the University of California in San Diego.
The couple plan an August 31 wedding.
