Claysville United Presbyterian Church, 134 Wayne St., will hold an Advent dinner and concert Dec. 5. The chicken and ham loaf dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for large and $5 for small. The concert is free and will begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:45.

Claysville Volunteer Fire Department Station 31 will hold its Christmas Parade Dec. 6. Lineup will begin at 5:30 and parade will start at 6 p.m. All area organizations, families and individuals are encouraged to participate. The theme is at the discretion of the entrant, but the use of Santa is prohibited as Santa will arrive on a fire engine. Floats and vehicles should be lit as the parade will be after dark. Floats will not be judged. Santa will visit with the children after the parade at Claysville Community Building.
