Greater Washington County Food Bank will host its eighth annual Taste of Washington Thursday at The Meadows Casino. Thirteen Washington County restaurants will be showcasing their finest selections of entrees, salads and deserts. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the program will conclude at 8:30. Tickets are $35 per person paid in advance or $40 at the door.

First Love Christian Academy, 150 Sunset Blvd., Washington, will host a Fall Festival from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. There will be games, food, family pictures, vendors and a Chinese auction.

Washington Corps of the Salvation Army, 60 East Maiden St., will hold its monthly rummage sale at 9 a.m. Oct. 14. The bag sale begins at noon.

Loving Caregivers Support Group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at First Christian Church, 615 E. Beau St., Washington. Registered nurse Joanne Coburn will discuss “10 Tips for a Better Day.” For more details, call 724-222-1510.

Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will offer a needle and yarn craft workshop at 10 a.m. Oct. 15 at the Mingo Creek County Park Office. The project will be an infinity scarf. Charleroi Area Historical Society will meet Oct. 20 in the Riverside Room, 303 SPHS Plaza Center, formerly Montgomery Wards. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the presentation and refreshments at 7.
