Chris Hammond of Fort Myers, Fla., and Clayton LaPosta of Washington were united in marriage September 27, 2014, in Fourth Presbyterian Church, Washington, with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating the 10:30 a.m. ceremony.

The bride’s parents are Christine P. Hammond of Fort Myers and the late James S. Hammond.

Parents of the bridegroom are Rebecca J. LaPosta of Washington and the late Ernest LaPosta.

Maid of honor was Andree R. LaPosta of Washington, daughter of the groom.

Best man was Clayton LaPosta II of Washington, son of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of Washington High School and Catonsville College. She is a retired financial officer with Lyons Housing, Ft. Myers.

Mr. LaPosta is a graduate of Washington High School and attended California College. He is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and is retired from the United States Postal Service.

A reception was held at Century Inn.

The couple honeymooned in Italy.
