Jefferson Township Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the White Church Building, Eldersville. Sandy Muzopappa will present “A Clemens Family Project,” a look at the Clemens family tree. Muzopappa’s grandmother was Sabina Clemens, and the line is documented to 1506 in England. The Clemens history includes a famous writer, the Salem Witch Trials and some Irish earls. There also will be a slide show with pictures from more than 100 years ago.

Friends of Citizens Library will host Dr. Mort Gamble, executive assistant to the president of Bethany College, at 1 p.m. Saturday. He will speak about “Beyond Water for Elephants: The Real American Circus, 1793-2014.” The free program is for middle school students through adults.
