West Alexander Fair, in conjunction with the West Alexander Volunteer Fire Department, will host its annual “Scare at the Fair” walk-through haunted house from 7 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 1 at the West Alexander Fairgrounds.

Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children 18 and younger. Ticket sales will end at 10 p.m. each night. The haunted house is not recommended for children 7 and younger. Proceeds benefit West Alexander VFD and West Alexander Agricultural Association. For more information, visit www.wascarefair.com.

Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation and the McDonald Area Redevelopment Association will sponsor a luminary walk along the Panhandle Trail from 7 to 8 p.m. today.

The walk starts at the McDonald Trail Station, 160 S. McDonald St. Treats will be provided to children 11 and younger. Halloween costumes are encouraged. There is no fee, but registration is required. To register, call Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation at 724-228-6867.

The Bradford House Historical Association and Bassettown Paranormal Society will host the annual Ghosts of Washington Haunted History Walking Tours from 6 to 9:40 p.m. today and Saturday.

The hourlong tours will leave from the garden of the David Bradford House, 175 S. Main St., Washington, about every 20 minutes and end at the Palmer House, 44 E. Maiden St. Free parking will be available on the street or in city lots.

Cost is $5 per person. Groups of 15 or more may book a private walking tour for 5:30 or 10 p.m. Hot beverages, snacks and souvenirs will be available for purchase. Visit www.bradfordhouse.org for more information.

Laboratory Presbyterian Church, 23 Manse St., Washington, will hold Trunk-or-Treat Saturday. Trunk registration and set-up begin at 4 p.m., followed by a costume contest, trunk-to-trunk treating and activities.

Those who plan to pass out candy are asked to decorate their trunk. Costumes, candy and trunk should be family friendly.

The annual Halloween parade in Carmichaels will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday in the town square.

The parade is open to those up to 12 years old. The two age groups – up to 6 and 7 to 12 – each will be judged in the categories of scariest, best witch, most original and judges’ choice.

Lineup will begin at 1:45 p.m. at the Yoskovich Funeral Home parking lot. The Carmichaels Area Junior-Senior High School marching band will lead the parade through town. Immediately following the parade, all children are invited to trick-or-treat through Brodak’s Shop ‘n Save in Carmichaels.

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 900 E. Beau St., Washington, will hold Treats from Trunks from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The event, for children 11 and younger, will be held in the church’s upper parking lot. If it is raining, park in the lower lot and “treating” will be held inside. For more information, call 724-225-2110.

Boo Bingo, sponsored by the Western Section of Order of the Eastern Star, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Chartiers Township Fire Hall, 2450 W. Pike St., Houston. Cost is $22. Tickets will be available at the door.
