Kristen Holland and Donald Dunkle, both of State College, were united in marriage May 17, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Pittsburgh, with Father Dale DeNinno officiating the 3 p.m. ceremony.

The bride’s parents are Harold Jr. and Karen Holland of Pittsburgh. Her grandparents are Harold and Yvonne Holland and Patricia Moeslein, all of Pittsburgh, and the late Joseph Moeslein.

Parents of the bridegroom are John and Doris Dunkle of Duncansville, formerly of Avella. His grandparents are Margaret Parsons of Washington, the late Leslie Carlisle and the late Donald and Cora Dunkle.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Lauren Knetzer of Pittsburgh, and maid of honor was Daniele Niro of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids were Kristen Cordell and Alexandra Marquette, both of Pittsburgh, and Laura Dunkle of State College, sister of the groom.

Flower girl was Ellie Shaw, cousin of the groom.

Best men were Daniel Clark of Washington, D.C., and David Bellone of Pittsburgh. Ushers were Harold Holland III of Pittsburgh, brother of the bride, Stephen Lorefice of Harrisburg and Matthew Krauss of State College.

Ring bearer was Jack Johnson, cousin of the bride.

Readers were Marilyn Johnson, godmother of the bride, and Cory Shaw, cousin of the groom.

Vocalist was Jessica McLaughlin.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Baldwin High School, a 2008 graduate of Penn State University and a 2010 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She is a speech-language pathologist at Central Intermediate Unit.

Mr. Dunkle is a 2004 graduate of Central High School and a 2008 graduate of Penn State University. He is a senior accountant at Ritchey Cox and Associates P.C.

A reception was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Meadow Lands.

The couple honeymooned in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
