Veterans Day ceremony in Cecil Township

Retired U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Lawrence T. Luba will be the keynote speaker at a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Cecil Township.

The ceremony is expected to last about 50 minutes. In addition to remarks by Luba, ceremonial taps will be played with a rifle salute by the Washington County Marine Corps League Detachment 1138, along with musical selections by the Canon-McMillan High School band and Kate Matthews.

Also, a ceremonial wreath will be placed in honor of all POW/MIAs.
