Cornerstone offers free breast exams
Cornerstone Care’s “Dancing with a Pink Ribbon” Project will offer free clinical breast exams and mammogram referrals on its mobile medical unit from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Produce to the People food distribution at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
The goal of “Dancing with a Pink Ribbon” is to provide women 40 and older with free clinical breast exams conducted by a medical professional and assist them in obtaining a mammogram.
The project provides education and outreach to men and women on the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer, and is made possible with funding provided by Susan G. Komen, Pittsburgh. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Both insured and uninsured women are encouraged to attend.
