Wheeler – Abel
Nicole Abel and Stephen Wheeler of Silver Spring, Md., were united in marriage June 7, 2014, in Wallace Memorial Chapel at Westminster College, New Wilmington, with Pastor Andrew Cobucci officiating the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Robert and Lisa Lane of Canonsburg. Her grandparents are Lynne Sobeck of Canonsburg and the late Albert Sobeck.
Parents of the bridegroom are Frank and Terry Wheeler of Crescent. His grandparents are Florence Demich of Aliquippa, the late Michael Demich and the late Frank and Gloria Wheeler.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Matron of honor was Allison Wejuli of Ellwood, Ill. Bridesmaids were Rachel McKay of Cumming, Ga., and Anna Bielawski of Warren.
Brandon Wheeler of Crescent, brother of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Adam Wheeler and Harry Roth, both of Pittsburgh and cousins of the groom.
Readers were Jana Cleverley of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Michael Demich of Aliquippa.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and a 2007 graduate of Westminster College. She is a department supervisor at Kohl’s.
Mr. Wheeler is a 2005 graduate of Moon Area High School and a 2009 graduate of Westminster College. He is a survey statistician for the Department of Commerce.
A reception was held in the Witherspoon Room at Westminster College.
The couple honeymooned at Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
The couple will make their home in Owings, Md.
