Shearer – 90 years
Richard (Dick) Shearer of Washington celebrated his 90th birthday Sept. 21.
His wife of 70 years is Eva Shearer.
He has two children, Jeffrey (Brenda) Shearer of central Pennsylvania and Jean (Matthew) Lucas of Washington.
His grandchildren are Joseph and Sean Shearer, Rebecca and Nicolle Weaver and Chloe Shearer. He has three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Shearer owned and operated Shearer Heating from 1948 to 1991, when he sold it to the current owner. He is a past president of the Washington Lions Club and enjoys working on club projects. Mr. and Mrs. Shearer have been members of First Lutheran Church since 1950 and have delivered Meals on Wheels for several years.
