California foundation seeking scholarship applicants
California Area School District Foundation is accepting applications for its 2015 Non-Traditional Scholarship.
Candidates must be graduates of California Area High School or have children registerted in the district. They must have graduated or obtained a GED by 2009. They also must have completed at least one semester or term in an accredited school of higher education or trade school, maintaining a 2.50 grade-point average or higher. Financial need must be demonstrated.
Applicants must provide the following documents: resume, two letters of recommendation and current college/trade school transcript. Information should be sent to: The California Area School District Foundation, Box 531, California, PA 15419. Application deadline is Jan. 15. The scholarship will be awarded at the Frosty Frolic event Feb. 7.
