Extension offering composting discussion

Penn State Extension will hold a Composting Demonstration and Discussion at 10 a.m. April 25 in the Children’s Garden, Main Street Extension, Washington, across from the Washington County Fairgrounds.

Participants will:

• Learn how to compost;

• See a variety of composting devices;

• Learn what to compost;

• Find out why composting is necessary.

The first 10 people to register will receive a free bucket of compost. Participants should bring a chair.

Fee is $10. Make checks payable to Penn State Extension and mail to: Penn State Extension – Master Gardeners, 100 W. Beau St., Suite 601, Washington, PA 15301.
