Litchfield – Day
Lori Day and Brian Litchfield were united in marriage March 21, 2015, at The Farm, 215 Justice Ridge Road, Candler, N.C., with Lynn Schmoyer, aunt of the bride, officiating the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are David and Lu Ann Day of Washington. Her grandparents are William and Patricia Logsdon of Washington and the late James and Helen Day.
Parents of the bridegroom are William and Marilyn Litchfield of Newark, Del. His grandparents are William Kammlade of Carbondale, Ill., and the late Helen Kammlade and the late John and Jeanne Litchfield.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Maid of honor was Alisa Day of Arlington, Va., sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Lauren Parker of Vienna, Austria.
Flower girl was Kayla Litchfield, niece of the groom.
Best man was David Litchfield of Midlothian, Va., brother of the groom. Usher was Dru Vaughn of Greensboro, N.C.
Readers were Kevin Solem and Crystal Byler.
Vocalist was Maura Styczynski and guitarist for Maura was Jonah Hatfield.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Trinity High School; a 2004 graduate of Allegheny College, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in neuroscience and psychology; and a graduate of Gallaudet University, where she earned a doctorate in clinical psychology. She works in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Litchfield is a 1997 graduate of Archmere Academy and a 2001 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in history. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for seven years. Litchfield also has a master’s degree in business from Boston University. He is a major in the U.S. Marine Reserve and works in Washington, D.C.
A reception was held at The Farm.
The couple honeymooned in Croatia.
