Mystery Book Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Chartiers-Houston Community Library, 730 W. Grant St., Houston. “A Fountain Filled with Blood” by Julia Spencer-Fleming will be discussed.
First Christian Church, 615 E. Beau St., Washington, will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 11. Dinner will include spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, salad, Italian bread, a drink and homemade dessert. Cost is $10 for adults; $5 for those in police, fire or EMS uniforms; and $4 for 5-through 12-year-olds. Children 4 and younger are free. Takeout orders will be available. Fall music festival will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 11 and 2 to 9 p.m. Sept. 12 under the pavilion at Blainesburg Bible Church, 104 Fourth Blvd. Extension, West Brownsville. Bring a chair. Gospel artists will include Tribute Quartet Sept. 11 and Allison Speer Sept. 12. Generations, Dominion, the Richters, New Journey of Western Pennsylvania and Benner Ministries also will perform. Admission is free, although free-will offerings will be accepted. Food will be available. On Sept. 12, there will be a bounce house and tent for children.
