Mary and Martha Joy Fellowship of Monongahela invites people of all denominations to its monthly meeting of praise and worship Thursday at First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, corner of Sixth, Main and Chess streets. Fellowship and refreshments will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7. There is no charge. A free-will offering will be accepted. Enter the church from the Chess Street side and go up the steps to the parlor on the main floor. Guest speaker will be Pastor Tom Harding, senior pastor at The Full Gospel Assembly of Monongahela. Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, in cooperation with the Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation, will present a public star party Saturday. The party will take place at the Mingo Creek County Park observatory, located near Shelter 10. The program will begin at dusk. Viewing will take place as long as there is a partly clear sky. Genealogy Society of Southwestern Pennsylvania will present Matt Williams and Ricky Graybell at 2 p.m. Saturday at Citizens Library, 55 S. College St., Washington. They will discuss Google research. This meeting is free.
