Quilters guild accepting entries

The Three Rivers Quilters Guild is accepted entries for its 2016 quilt show, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 17, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 18 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 19 at the IBEW Circuit Center, 5 Hot Metal St., Pittsburgh.

The juried and judged show is open to all quiltmakers. Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded. Entries should be submitted by Feb. 9. The show theme is flowers.

The show will feature more than 120 quilts, including bed, wall applique and pieced quilts. In addition, there will be quilting demonstrations, a sewing- and craft-related “Granny’s Attic” featuring discounted merchandise, a snack café and many vendors. There also will be quilt appraisals.

Admission is $10 per person. Special admission is $5 after 3 p.m. March 17. A multiday pass is $12, and discounted tickets purchased in advance for groups of four or more are $7.
