Self-Protection Workshop will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday. The program will be conducted by representatives of John Beluschak’s American Judo-Hapkido Institute. There will be a basic introduction for children and a separate session for adults. The workshop is free, but registration is required by calling the library.

Wine Tasting Fundraiser, hosted by Friends of Bowlby Library, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at The Lodge at Rohanna’s in Waynesburg. Registration is under way for the spring sessions of preschool and toddler story times, which will be held as follows:

• Preschool story time, for 3- to 5-year-olds, 2 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 17 through April 21.

• Toddler story times, for 11/2– to 2-year-olds, 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 18 through April 22.

• Toddler story times, for 21/2– to 3-year-olds, 11:30 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, Feb. 18 through April 22.

Iyengar method of yoga will be taught by Nadya Krol from 5:30 to 7 p.m. every Monday in February in multipurpose room 3 and 5:30 to 7 p.m. every Thursday in the public meeting room. This method incorporates proper alignment and form to insure the appropriate effects for the nervous system and to improve the health of organs. Cost is $15 per class. Bring a yoga mat.

Chess Club will meet at 10 a.m. every Saturday, Feb. 7 to March 14 in the lower-level meeting room. The club is open to all ages and all levels of play. Noontime Lunch with Friends will be held Feb. 10. Sandy Mansmann will present a program on Malcolm Parcell. The program is free; lunch is available afterward for $5.
