AARP offering free tax preparation
Free tax preparation by trained AARP tax counselors is available by appointment at the following sites in Washington County:
• Heritage Public Library, Wednesdays. Call Becky at 724-926-8400.
• McDonald Cecil Senior Community Center, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call Naomi at 724-743-1827.
• Peters Township Public Library. Call 724-941-9430, ext. 3100, for days and times.
• Presbyterian SeniorCare Center, Fridays. Call Karen at 724-250-4993.
• Washington Senior Center, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Call 724-222-8566.
Counselors are able to complete federal, state, local and Pennsylvania property tax and rental rebates for seniors. All returns will be electronically submitted. Taxpayers will receive a copy of each return for their records.
