Kelly M. Blackhurst was named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average for the third consecutive semester at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where she is majoring in early childhood education. She is president of the Blue and Gold Society, secretary and treasurer of Gamma Phi Chapter of Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society for Education and a member of Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society and the Pennsylvania Council for Social Studies. Blackhurst was named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for 2015. She is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High School and is employed by Jimmy Johns. Her parents are Carla Blackhurst of Washington and the late Kenny Blackhurst.

Erik Capra of Washington was named to the dean’s list for the third consecutive semester at Kent State University, College of Architecture and Environmental Design, where he is majoring in architecture. He is a member of the American Institute of Architecture, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Kent State Golden Key Honor Society and National Society of Leadership and Success. Capra is a 2013 graduate of McGuffey High School, and his parents are Jim and Cindy Capra of Washington.
Christopher Hamilton was named to the dean’s list at Ripon College, Ripon, Wis., where he is majoring in sociology with a minor in English. His parents are Bryan and Judy Hamilton of Waynesburg.
Cory Iams of Washington was named to the dean’s list for the seventh consecutive semester at Waynesburg University, where he is majoring in forensic accounting. He is a 2011 graduate of Washington High School, and his parents are Todd and Jana Iams.

Myresa Troiano of Washington was named to the dean’s list for the fifth consecutive semester at Penn State University, where she is majoring in communication sciences and disorders with a minor in special education. She is a member of the National Student Speech and Language Association and National Society of Leadership and Success. She has participated on the THON committee for four years. Troiano is a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School and is employed by Au Bon Pain. Her parents are Ralph and Dyane Troiano of Washington.

Allie Jo Vogrig was named to the dean’s list at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Va., where she is majoring in engineering. She is a 2014 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, and her parents are Cheryl and Ken Vogrig of North Strabane.
