Golden Triangle Decorative Painters will meet Sunday at the Finleyville I.O.O.F. Hall, 3684 Finleyville-Elrama Road. Doors open at 9 a.m. Walker bags are going to be painted and donated to a nursing home. Members are to bring brushes; patterns and paint will be provided. Home Instead Senior Care will hold Alzheimer’s CARE training workshops from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 28, Sept. 22 and Oct. 27 at the Center for Training and Education, 2000 Oxford Drive, Suite 415, Bethel Park. The workshops incorporate an innovative, person-centered approach to help families deal with behavioral changes that often are associated with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. Go Green and Cooking clubs at Peters Township Public Library will hold their sixth annual Local Foods Potluck Dinner at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the library. Those who attend are asked to bring a potluck dish of six to eight servings made with homegrown or locally grown foods. Bring the recipe to share.
