Stephanie Austin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in physical therapy. She is a 2008 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and is employed as a physical therapist at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray, Va. Her parents are Tom and Angela Austin of Canonsburg.
Erik Capra was named to the dean’s list for the fourth consecutive semester at Kent State University, College of Architecture and Environmental Design, where he is majoring in architecture. He is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Kent State Golden Key Honor Society and American Institute of Architecture. Capra is a 2013 graduate of McGuffey High School and is working as a summer intern at JMAC Architects. His parents are Jim and Cindy Capra of Washington.
Karlie Comfort graduated magna cum laude from Slippery Rock University with a degree in middle-level mathematics education, with a minor in exceptionalities. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honors Fraternity, Pre-Service Teachers of Mathematics and the Association for Middle Level Educators. Comfort is a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School and is employed as a Twist Softball umpire, a substitute teacher in the Upper St. Clair School District and at Ann Taylor Factory Store. She is pursuing a master of education at Slippery Rock University. Her parents are Tony and Kim Comfort of Washington.
Ian Coote, son of Jonathan and Maribeth Coote of Rogersville, graduated cum laude from the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio Northern University with a bachelor of science in biology. He is a graduate of West Greene Junior-Senior High School.
Morgan DeGarmo graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a master of science in communication disorders. She is a 2012 graduate of West Liberty University with a bachelor of science in speech pathology. DeGarmo is a speech and language pathologist at Innovations LLC with the West Virginia Birth to Three Program, Wheeling, W.Va., and works at Main Street Café, Claysville. She is a 2009 graduate of McGuffey High School, and her parents are Randy and Sue DeGarmo of Claysville.
Michaela Dhans of Washington was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in nursing. She is a 2009 graduate of Washington High School and is employed as a surgical technologist by UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Her parents are Michael and Denise Dhans of Washington.
John Stewart Frey of Somerville, Mass., graduated from Harvard University Graduate School of Design with a master of landscape architecture and a master of landscape architecture in urban design. Frey did his undergraduate work at the University of Richmond in Richmond, Va. He is a 2007 graduate of Washington High School, and his parents are Katharine and John Glass of Washington and Thomas and Kathleen Frey of New Bern, N.C.
Haley Grim, daughter of Mark and Ruth Grim of New Freeport, graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio Northern University with a bachelor of science in nursing. She is a graduate of West Greene Junior-Senior High School.
Dr. Robyn Lynn Moran graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree. She earned a bachelor of science in biology from Geneva College in 2009 and a master’s degree in biomedical science from Midwestern University in 2011. She is continuing her medical training in internal medicine at Plaza Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas. Moran’s parents are Robert Weber of Washington and the late Thresa Weber.
Elizabeth Morris was named to the dean’s list at Seton Hill University, where she is majoring in dietetics and nutrition. She is a 2014 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School, and her parents are John and Julie Morris of Marianna.
Sarah Skouby, daughter of Dan Wilhelm and Betty Kradel of McMurray, graduated summa cum laude from the College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University with a doctor of pharmacy degree. Skouby is a graduate of Peters Township High School.
