Charleroi Borough is offering eight weeks of planned activities for 5- to 14-year-olds June 16 through Aug. 11 at Crest Avenue and Trustees parks.

Crest park activities will be held Tuesdays; Trustees park activities will be held Thursdays.

Activities will begin at noon with a free lunch provided by the Charleroi School District. Activities will end around 4 p.m. Weekly activities will promote creativity, physical activity and positive interaction among local youth. If it rains, some activities will be held in the pavilion in each park.

Interns of Charleroi Borough will engage children in kickball, basketball, nature walks, beanbag toss, Slip N’ Slides and other games. In addition, there will be painting, drawing, crafts and reading.
