McKinney – Bruckner
Courtney Bruckner and Nicholas McKinney were united in marriage May 16, 2015, at Armstrong Farms, with Pastor Rick Bruckner, uncle of the bride, officiating the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Daniel and Rebecca Bruckner of Washington. Her grandparents are Reese Bruckner of Washington, the late Christine Bruckner and the late William and Betty Kulla.
Parents of the bridegroom are Larry and Terri McKinney of Lordstown, Ohio. His grandparents are William and DeEtta Miller of Austintown, Ohio, Sharon Koenig of Arlington, Texas, and the late Walter Koenig.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Megan Pierson of Washington. Bridesmaids were Ashley Lewis of Washington; Devra Bright of Stafford, Texas; and Jennifer Smith of Washington.
Best man was Robert Markwell of Sagamore Hills, Ohio. Ushers were Erik Bruckner of Pittsburgh, brother of the bride; Kevin Koenig of Valdosta, Ga., cousin of the groom; and Rick Krauland of Pittsburgh.
Ring bearer was Jhet Smith, godson of the bride.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Trinity High School; a 2006 graduate of Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio; and a 2009 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, earning a master’s degree. She is a teacher in the Washington School District and an author for National Network of Digital Schools.
Mr. McKinney is a 2003 graduate of Niles McKinley High School in Niles, Ohio, and a graduate of Youngstown State University. He is an electrical engineer in West Mifflin.
A reception was held at Armstrong Farms.
The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and make their home in Cecil Township.
