Jason D’Alessandro was named to the dean’s list at Washington & Jefferson College, where he is majoring in psychology and philosophy. He is a 2013 graduate of Washington High School, and his parents are Jason Sr. and Becky D’Alessandro of Washington.

Andrew Irwin was named to the dean’s list at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he is majoring in systems engineering. He is the cadet basic training company commander and a member of the Army’s intercollegiate men’s rugby team. Irwin is a 2012 graduate of Peters Township High School, and his parents are Lew and Marcia Irwin of McMurray.

Carlene Olson graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a degree in nursing. She also was named to the dean’s list and is a member of Alpha Tau Delta. Olson is a 2011 graduate of Charleroi Area High School, and her parents are Daniel and Carrie Olson of Finleyville.

Marielle Angelique Sargent graduated magna cum laude from Robert Morris University, where she earned a degree in communications with a concentration in advertising. She earned a 4.0 grade-point average every semester, was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society and Alpha Chi Honor Society, and she was a Dean’s Scholar. Sargent studied abroad in Ireland, Switzerland and France. She is employed as a Robert Morris fitness monitor and has interships at Berkshire-Hathaway Home Services, Beyond Spots and Dots Advertising Firm and Hybrid Athlete. Sargent is a 2011 graduate of Washington High School, and her parents are John and Nancy Sargent of Washington.
