Genealogy Society of Southwestern Pennsylvania will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday at Citizens Library, 55 S. College St., Washington. Nancy Marshall of Cecil Township will talk about her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Sherman Campbell, and their Tomahawk Claim property in Cecil Township. She will explain how she went about getting it on the National Register of Historic Places.

All-you-can-eat breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at American Legion Post 175, 168 Park Ave., Washington. Cost is $5 and benefits Sons of the American Legion.

Jefferson College Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Frank Sarris Public Library, Canonsburg. Speaker will be Clay Kilgore, executive director of the Washington County Historical Society. He will discuss the Whiskey Insurrection.

Wheeling Civic Garden Center, Oglebay Park, will hold its annual “Day with Herbs” at 11 a.m. May 8. There will be an herbal luncheon, herb plant sale and a guest speaker. Lunch will include fresh vegetables, crackers and dips, a main course, dessert and herbal teas. Cost is $20. Paid reservations must be received by Monday. Call 304-242-0665.

Children’s program on the parts of a flower will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. May 9 at the Washington County Children’s Garden, Main Street extension, next to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum. Children will make paper pots and plant flower seeds to take home. Cost is $5 per child. To register, call Washington County Penn State Extension at 724-228-6881.
