Observer-Reporter photographer Jim McNutt will present “People, Animals and Silhouettes – Getting the Good Shot.”

Mary and Martha Joy Fellowship of Monongahela invites people of all denominations to its monthly meeting of praise and worship Thursday at First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, corner of Sixth, Main and Chess streets. Fellowship and refreshments will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 7. Guest speaker will be Pastor Tom Ravasio, Associate Pastor at Journey By Grace Free Methodist Church, Rostraver Township. His childhood passion for horses inspired him to open the Shekinah Western Ranch Camp, Charleroi. A free will offering will be taken. Enter the church from the Chess St. side and go up the steps to the parlor on the main floor.

Southwestern Local Task Force 1 monthly meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Intermediate Unit 1 Central Office, 1 Intermediate Unit Drive, Coal Center. A chairperson is needed. Anyone interested should attend the meeting. All parents of children with disabilities and personnel from agencies and school districts in Washington, Fayette and Greene counties are encouraged to attend. Chartiers Hill Presbyterian Church, 2230 Washington Road, Canonsburg, will hold its annual flower and plant sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 15-16. There will also be a flea market and bake sale May 16. For more information, call 724-746-1330.
