Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Road, Washington, will hold a community dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Menu includes creamed chicken and biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw or fruit, dessert and beverage. A free-will offering will be accepted, and all proceeds will benefit local charities. Amwell Township Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. June 8 in the Amwell Township Community Building. The executive board will meet at 6:15. Clay Kilgore will present a program called “Crime and Corruption with the Construction of the National Road.”

Robinson Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Strawberry Festival from 5 to 7:30 p.m. June 10 at 521 Church Lane, Bulger. There will be homemade roast beef, turkey salad and ham barbecue sandwiches, plus baked beans and a variety of cold salads and desserts. There also will be a bake sale with chocolate-covered strawberries, a Chinese auction and kids’ fair.

St. Damien of Molokai Parish will hold a giant flea market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 10-12 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 13 at Madonna Catholic Regional School, 731 Chess St., Monongahela. Light refreshments will be sold. Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 8 and 9. If large items need to be picked up, call John at 724-258-5816.

Strawberry Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 12 in the Education Conference Center and outside Central Plaza at Monongahela Valley Hospital. The summer kickoff event is sponsored by the Auxiliary of Mon-Vale Health Resources Inc. There will be strawberry plants, home-baked goods and crafts. Free parking will be available. Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold an introductory yoga class at 7 p.m. June 16 in Mingo Creek County Park. All skill levels of yoga are welcome. The group will meet at Shelter 10. Participants should bring a yoga mat or beach towel. Cost is $5. Registration is required and can be made by calling the Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation office at 724-228-6867.
