Essential Oils 101 will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Mon Valley YMCA. Andrea Erbrecht will demonstrate how essential oils can be a safe, natural option to support good health. To register, call 724-483-8077.

Angel Ridge Animal Rescue, 390 Old Hickory Ridge Road, Washington, will hold a fall fundraiser, “B-4 the Holidays Celebration,” from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department in Hickory. There will be a roast beef dinner, wine and beer, music, a Chinese auction, pull-off tickets and several raffles. A vegetarian option and takeout will be available. Adult tickets are $13 each or $25 for a couple, and children’s tickets are $6. Proceeds will benefit the shelter’s winter heating fund. Annual spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Parish, 10 St. Mary’s Lane, Cecil. The menu includes spaghetti and meatballs, applesauce, bread and butter and choice of beverage. A la carte desserts also will be available. Catholic Daughters Court Washington 1651 will hold its annual vendor/craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the American Legion social hall on Park Avenue in Washington. The following vendors are participating: Avon, Floral Options, Jafra, Lots of Love Sweets, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Pink Zebra, Scentsy, Shaklee, 31 Bags, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, Shaklee, Usborne Books, Watkins, Catholic Relief Services-Fair Trade and sports author Jim O’ Brien. Annual Fall Rummage-Recycling Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2040 Washington Road, Upper St. Clair. The bag sale and half-price sale will start at 12:30 p.m. There also will be a “boutique” for better items. Donations of clean, usable items will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Magazines, textbooks, large pieces of furniture and broken items will not be accepted. Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a geocaching program at Mingo Creek County Park, Route 136, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Program participants should meet at the park office. There is no fee. Registration is required; call 724-228-6867.

A Toys for Tots benefit will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday in Trademen’s Inn, Scenery Hill. Music will be provided and food is included. Admission is $5 or a new toy.

Washington Camera Club will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 in Room 104 of Courthouse Square. The program topic, “Evolution of a travel photographer,” will be presented by Dr. David Keljo.
