A fan bus for Washington High School's football game agianst New Brighton will depart at 4:45 p.m. Friday. People taking the bus must arrive by 4:30 p.m.. Game tickets must be purchased at the same time as bus ticket. Cost for transportation and ticket is $9 for adults and $7 for students. Tickets can be purchased from 10 to 11 a.m. or 12:15 to 3 p.m. in the athletic office through the junior high school entrance.
Seventh Ward Neighborhood Watch will hold a community cleanup and fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 7th Ward Park. All are invited to help clean up the playground or eat lunch for $2.
The October meeting of Jefferson Township Historical Society will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the White Church Building, Fire Road in Eldersville. You can key 11 Fire Road, Burgettstown, PA 15021 into GPS devises. The building will be the focus of the program presented by members Judy Cooper and Peggy Strain. Refreshments will be provided. Springhill Township will hold its annual fall cleanup days Saturday and Sunday.
A candidate debate night will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Life Church, 100 North Main St., Washington. The event is sponsored by the NAACP and 7th Ward Neighborhood Watch.
As part of National Friends of the Library Week Oct. 18-24, the library board and staff of Peters Township Public Library invite all to a Friends of the Library reception from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Reading Room on the second floor of the library.
