Bethel Presbyterian will install full-time pastor
Eric Toohey will be installed as full-time pastor at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 3905 Park Ave., Prosperity, at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8.
Toohey, who began serving as pastor at Bethel Presbyterian in September, is a graduate of Grove City College with a bachelor of arts in Christian thought. He received his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago.
Toohey previously served as associate pastor at Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Peters Township for five years. He and his wife, Abbey, have two young sons.
Speakers at the installation service will be the Rev. Bob Shull of Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Betsy Rumer of Memorial Park Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Tom Sawyer, a retired minister from Canton, Ohio.
Refreshments will be served afterward.
