Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Road, Washington, will hold a community dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Menu includes cream chicken and biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw or fruit, dessert and a beverage. Monessen Public Library & Cultural Center, 326 Donner Ave., Monessen, will hold a super card and game party from 2 to 5 p.m. April 10. Tickets are $10 per person and available at the library. The Auxiliary of Mon-Vale Health Resources Inc. will hold its next meeting April 11 in the Lombardi Center of the Monongahela Valley Hospital. The social will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting will begin at noon.
Wheeling Civic Garden Center, Oglebay Park, Wheeling, W.Va., will hold a card party and salad luncheon Friday, April 22. Doors open at 11 a.m. The event is being coordinated by board members, volunteers and staff of the center. There will be door prizes and a raffle. Cost is $12 per person or $48 for a table of four. WOMEN of Southwestern PA Inc. is accepting funding requests from local nonprofit, 501(c) (3) charitable and community organizations. Submission deadline is May 15 and decisions will be made in June. To qualify, an organization must provide service in Allegheny, Washington, Fayette or Greene counties, have IRS 501(c) (3) status, receive no federal funds for the specific projects and benefit women’s, children’s or family interests. Applicants are asked to visit www.womenofswpa.org, print and complete the Grant Application Form, attach a copy of non-profit status, specify the amount requested, up to $2,500, and send to WOMEN of Southwestern PA Inc., c/o Philanthropy Committee, P.O. Box 1112, McMurray, PA 15317.
