Wash High presents ‘The Addams Family’
With their latest production, the Prexie Performers of Wash High invite you to come and discover what it is to be an Addams.
In “The Addams Family” musical, Wednesday Addams is now 18 years old and has a boyfriend, Lucas Beineke. The problem is, he isn’t like her or the other Addams: He’s “normal.”
Wednesday ends up telling her father about Beineke, but begs him to keep it from her mother.
Gomez now has to do the unthinkable: keep a secret from his wife, Morticia.
Secrets aren’t the only problem they’ll have to work through. Wednesday also wants the two families to meet during a dinner at the Addams’ home.
Of course, a dinner with the Addams family isn’t complete without some chaos.
Will the Beinekes survive the dinner?
The students of Washington School District, grades 7 through 12, have been working hard since December to make sure this is an amazing show.
Choreographers were even hired from the Sandra Kay Mesler Dance Studio to make each number lively, even for the dead. Because, “When you’re an Addams, you do what Addams do or die.”
The show will be held May 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. and May 7 at 4 p.m. in the Washington Park School auditorium.
