Peters Township student places third in contest
Hanna Marcinak of Peters Township High School placed third in the second annual League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania High School video contest. Students from more than 30 schools submitted more than 100 30-second videos on “Your Voice, Your Vote – Be Heard!” Judges evaluated the videos on how well the video communicated that theme, how likely the video would encourage active participation in voting and how effectively the creators used the tools available to further the message. Marcinak’s video was titled “Let’s Change That Number.” She received $250. All winning videos can be viewed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD05ukbdJjQko44feVms59g.
