American Legion Post 175 awards
American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of Washington recently presented medals and certificates of achievement to 18 students in eighth grade. Recipients were chosen based on courage, honor, leadership, patriotism, scholarship and service.
Honorees from John F. Kennedy Catholic School in Washington were Annie Colantonio, daughter of Derek and Susie Colantonio of Washington; Adanna Maltony, daughter of Jeffrey and Peggy Maltony of Washington; Abigail Gales, daughter of Tim Gales and Kim Manfredi of Washington; Caroline McElheny, daughter of Kevin and Kathleen McElheny of Waynesburg; Matthias Hirst, son of Jeffrey and Susan Hirst of Canonsburg; and Jonathan Moyer, son of Mark and Cherie Moyer of Washington.
Honorees from Trinity Middle School were Augustin Towers, son of Gus Towers of Mt. Lebanon and Daci Mace of Washington; Austin Sampson; Ann Kozak, daughter of Robert and Judy Kozak of Washington; Nancy Xiao, daughter of Yuan Zheng Xiao and Chen Fen Wu of Washington; Talon Cain; and Michael Parrish, son of Matt and Kathy Parrish of Washington.
Honorees from Washington Junior High School were Benjamin Price, son of Mathew and Suzanne Price of Washington; Gerald Comedy, son of Gerald Comedy and Teddi Zets of Washington; Madelyn Miller, daughter of Daniel and Kimberly Miller of Washington; Kayla Andreoli, daughter of Jennifer Andreoli of Washington; and Cooper Sharp, son of Joseph and Denise Sharp of Washington.
