St. Ann’s Church, 232 E. High St., Waynesburg, will host the 11th annual Empty Chair service at 7 p.m. Monday.

The nondenominational memorial service offers a chance for those mourning the loss of a loved one to honor them. The Rev. Donald Wilson will officiate the service.

The Empty Chair was started by Sandy Seybold and Carol Furmanek, who each lost a child to crime. The candlelight portion of the program will include the reading of names, and Memory Stars will be placed on a holiday tree. Seybold also continues the tradition of creating and distributing hand-crafted ornaments for participants to take home.

Those who attend are invited to bring a picture of their loved ones for memory boards, which are displayed during the service. Refreshments will be provided in fellowship hall after the service.
