Farm Show scholarships

Ashley Winkelvoss of Washington was among 28 college students who received a $3,500 scholarship at the 100th Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg.

Winkelvoss is majoring in psychology at Waynesburg University, where she has twice been named to the dean’s list.

She is a member of the Vankirk Friendship 4-H Club and Lone Pine Ag 4-H Club, where she served as vice president and secretary.

In addition, Barbizon, a modeling, acting and professional development organization, awarded each student a $1,000 certificate to attend professional development workshops to prepare them for interviews, speeches and professional careers. Barbizon is an ambassador club member of the Farm Show Scholarship Foundation.

Winkelvoss is the daughter of Bart and Linda Winkelvoss.
