Brownsville plans ‘Ducky Race on Mon’
Brownsville Area Revitalization Corp. will hold its “Homecoming Celebration/Ducky Race on the Mon” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Brownsville Wharf to benefit community revitalization efforts.
Ducks will take flight from the intercounty bridge at 1 p.m. and race to the wharf.
There will be food, crafts, DJ Ted Knisley and prizes, and Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol will appear. Those who attend can sign up at the homecoming booth for a free chance to win an artist’s rendering of Brownsville landmarks.
Prizes includes:
First place – Overnight package that includes an evening stay at the Park Inn by Radison in Uniontown, with breakfast for two in the RBG Bar and Grill, State Theater tickets and dinner for two at the Olive Garden in Uniontown.
Second place – Sports package that includes Wild Things baseball tickets, Rebellion softball tickets and a $100 gift card for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Third place – Kennywood Fun Day that includes gift certificate for four admissions, valid through Dec. 31.
Fourth place – Walmart $100 gift card.
Fifth place – Local gift cards, including Fiddles Restaurant, Fox Pizza, Pepper Ronnies and Pizza Wagon.
Sixth place – Movie Night that includes two adult tickets to the Brownsville Drive-in and a $20 gift certificate to Route 40 Classic Diner.
