West Overton Village and Museums, 109 W. Overton Road, Scottdale, will hold a “Blind Pig Party” from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the barn.

The event will feature a 1930s Prohibition theme, with proceeds from the country-style speakeasy benefiting a project to build a new distillery at the historic property.

Tickets are $50 and must be purchased in advance. Four local craft brewers will be on hand with samples.

For tickets, call 724-887-7910, ext. 3.

In addition, two experts from the Heinz History Center will conduct a textile care workshop and program from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 29 at the museum.

Fee is $30 per person, and advance registration is required. Techniques for handling, packing and cleaning fabric items are part of the workshop. To register, contact Barb Conner at 412-454-6450 or bjconner@heinzhistorycenter.org.
