Fairall United Methodist Church will hold its annual festival at 5 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds benefit West Virginia flood victims. Managing Your Diabetes will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Aug. 2-4 in the Education Conference Center at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Topics include the importance of controlling blood sugars, diabetes medications, lifestyle changes, meal planning and methods to reduce the risk of complications. Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold yoga in the park at 7 p.m. Aug. 3 at Mingo Creek County Park, Shelter 10. The class is introductory, but all skill levels are welcome. Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat or beach towel. Cost is $5, and registration is required by calling the Washington County Parks office at 724-228-6867.
Gently used shoes of all styles, including slippers, for adults and children are being collected through Aug. 28 by the partner parishes of St. Cecilia’s and the Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville.
