The Valley Garden Club will hold a standard flower show, “Globetrotting,” from noon to 5 p.m. June 30 at Monessen Public Library, 326 Donner Ave.

The show has three divisions: horticulture, design and special exhibits.

Local gardeners will be competing for awards in horicultural excellence; awards of merit in the annual, perennial, blubs/corms/tubers/rhizomes, rose and herb sections; arboreal awards for the best specimens from a tree section and a shrub section; and the Grower’s Choice Award.

Floral designers will interpret titles suggesting locations around the world as they vie for the Award of Design Excellence, Petite Award, Designer’s Choice Award and Table Artistry Award.

A special exhibits division will feature an educational section that will offer the National Garden Clubs Inc. Educational Top Exhibitor Award and the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania Education and/or Conservation Silver Award.

Admission is free.
