Morgantown groups to stage ‘Peter Pan’
Morgantown Dance and Morgantown Ballet Company will present “Peter Pan,” an original ballet, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. March 12 and 2:30 p.m. March 13 at the Metropolitan Theatre in Morgantown.
The ballet is the creation of Daniel Karasik, director of the Morgantown Ballet Company, who was assisted by Morgantown Dance faculty members Ashley Manzo, Marilyn Pipes and Desiree Witt.
The production features a cast of 100 dancers that includes members of the Morgantown Ballet Company and dancers from northcentral West Virginia, Southwestern Pennsylvania and western Maryland.
In addition, a free Behind the Scenes look at what it takes to create and perform a ballet is being offered, and can be reserved along with tickets for the matinee performances.
Tickets are $20 for general admission; $15 for students 13 years old through college and senior citizens; $10 for 6- to 12-year-olds; and $5 for preschoolers, and are available at www.MorgantownDance.org.
