Extension to host cattle feeders seminar

The fourth annual Western Pennsylvania Cattle Feeders Seminar will be held March 22 at the Penn State Extension office in Greensburg.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., with the program running from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Topics of discussion will include Alternative Feeding Strategies, Marketing & Management Options, Beef Industry Updates and the Veterinary Feed Directive & How It Affects Your Operation.

Guest speakers will be:

• Dr. Tara Felix, Penn State University assistant professor and extension beef specialist;

• Dr. Ernest Hovingh, Penn State Extension veterinarian;

• Sam Roberts, United Producers , vice president of advanced marketing solutions;

• Bridget Bingham, Pennsylvania Beef Council;

• Ann Nogan, Pennsylvania Center for Beef Excellence.
