Central Christian Academy, 145 McGovern Road, Houston, will hold kindergarten registration April 21 and 22. Qualified children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1. To schedule an appointment, call the school office at 724-746-4902.
McGuffey School District will hold kindergarten registration for the 2016-17 school year by appointment April 7 and 8 at Claysville Elementary School and April 6 at Joe Walker Elementary School. To make an appointment at Claysville, call 724-663-7772; for Joe Walker, call 724-222-3061. Children who will be 5 years old before Sept. 1 are eligible to enter kindergarten; children who will be 6 years old by Sept. 1 are eligible to enter first grade. Various screenings will be conducted, and parents must complete all required documents to complete the registration process. Orientation will be scheduled in August. First-grade registration for new students also is by appointment.
