West Newton Center for Active Adults, 103 E. Main St., is collecting items to help 70 people in Westmoreland County for Easter. Suggested donations include baskets, Easter grass, hand lotion and sanitizers, sugar-free candy, boxes of tissues, Q-tips, combs, nail polish, mints, hair brush, body powder and toothpaste. St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 201 E. Main St., Uniontown, will hold its 11th Egg Eggstravaganza from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free, and a Lenten lunch menu that includes pierogies, halushki, pagach, pierogi pizza and soups will be available. Artists will demonstrate pysanky, and there will be a marketplace featuring pysanky supplies, Easter items, crafts and basket covers. Children’s activities will include storytelling and Easter eggs. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day.

Martha Washington Garden Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Laboratory Presbyterian Church, 33 Manse St., Washington. A light lunch will be served, followed by the presentation. Matt Fromm of Davey Tree will discuss planting a tree and insects and diseases native to the area.
Tri-County Boroughs Association will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Donora Borough administrative offices, 603 Meldon Ave. Meal will be served at 7, and the business meeting will follow.
