Project Grass program at Burgettstown Grange

Washington County Conservation District will host the annual Southwest Project Grass May Field Day from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. May 12 at the Burgettstown Grange.

In the morning, speakers will discuss lime basics, lime/fertilizer spreader calibration and pesticides in the environment. After lunch, participants will visit a local farm to discuss pasture condition scoring and soil health. Equipment calibration demonstrations also will be held.

Six core and six category pesticide credits will be available. Fee is $20 per person and includes a hot lunch. To register, visit www.swprojectgrass.com and click on the events tab for more information and a registration brochure. Registration and payment are required by April 27.
